And he’s done it!
Jason Osborne, Director of North Wales Scaffolding, has officially completed his charity skydive from 12,000 feet — and what an incredible achievement it was. Taking on such a challenge is no small feat, and everyone here at North Wales Scaffolding is extremely proud of him for stepping outside of his comfort zone and doing something so amazing for a fantastic cause.
Not only has Jason completed the skydive successfully, but thanks to the kindness and generosity of our customers, friends, family, suppliers, and the local community, we have also managed to raise an incredible £1,612 for our chosen charity of the year, Ty Gobaith (Hope House). We honestly cannot thank everyone enough for the support shown throughout this fundraising event. Every donation, share, and message of encouragement has meant a lot and will help make a real difference.
Ty Gobaith (Hope House) provides vital care and support to children and young adults with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, during incredibly difficult times. The charity offers specialist nursing care, emotional support, respite stays, and so much more to families who need it most. To continue providing these essential services, they require an incredible £12 million every single year, with a large amount of that funding relying purely on donations and fundraising from the public.
The skydive itself took place down in Peterborough and was originally scheduled to happen back in March. Unfortunately, due to poor weather conditions, the jump had to be postponed at the last minute. With Jason’s busy work schedule and commitments, it took a little while to find another suitable date to rearrange it, but thankfully the weather finally cooperated and the skydive was able to go ahead successfully.
From the moment Jason arrived on the day, the nerves were definitely kicking in, but knowing it was all for such an important cause kept him motivated. After months of waiting and preparation, he finally took the leap — literally — and completed the challenge in style. It was an unforgettable experience and one that everyone involved will remember for a long time.
As a company, North Wales Scaffolding is passionate about supporting local charities and giving back wherever possible. Throughout the rest of the year, we are hoping to continue our fundraising efforts and raise a total of £5,000 for Ty Gobaith (Hope House). We already have more charity events and fundraising activities planned, so keep an eye on our social media pages and website for updates on what’s coming next.
Once again, a huge thank you to everybody who has donated, supported, and encouraged Jason along the way. Your support truly does make a difference, and together we can help Ty Gobaith (Hope House) continue the incredible work they do for families across the region.
